Hope this message finds you well! My name is Matt and I'm a Community Development Associate with Wikia. A&E has reached out to us promising some new Bates Motel imagery and we were hoping we could use some of it to replace the current skin. Is this something you would be willing to consider? We can send along the new art as soon as we have it -- all we know now is that its related to the coming season of the show and it's straight from the source, so it's bound to be of high quality.
Yeah, I can't wait to see Mikael, Esther, Finn, and Kol again. I'm excited for their reunion. Btw, we should discuss about this over on my TVD wall, for some reason my BM wall always freezes up on me. So have you read the spoilers and seen the promo trailer/photo yet? What did you think about them?
Hi! I've been super busy, sadly. I have been stressing over my classes, working as a full-time receptionist, and been volunteering at a nursery home. Hence, my inactivity. And I am super, super excited, but I unfortunately have not been able to watch the premier :(
I don't really get to decide. You should ask Streckster98. I'm not sure if we need anymore admins though (we already have 5). Not to mention this wikia isn't that well known so we don't have too many problems with vandalizers and fixing pages. Therefore, the need for more admins isn't necessary if you ask me. I hope you will keep contributing as a fellow Bates Motel user and if you have any other questions, I would be glad to help :)
Yeah, I thought season 1 was amazing. Season 2 hasn't really caught my interest as much as season 1 did. It's not bad, but the episodes feel slower. I don't like the drug storyline at all and Dylan has become boring. Emma is cute as always but I feel like she's being wasted and reduced to romance. So far, I am loving the Norma and Romero scenes, Norman and his dark arc, and the Watson mystery case.
I hate both ships ^^ I don't get the appeal but that's just me. I dislike shipping in general but more importantly, I'm not invested enough to care who "wins" Elena. I don't even think she's worth fighting for haha.
Nice job with getting the relationship pages off the ground! Btw, I adjusted the code for the relationship templates so they would look more like the other templates on this wiki. Do you think they look better now, or do you want me to put them back to how you had them?
I also watch The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, American Horror Story, Parks & Recreation, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Bates Motel (who would have guessed? lol), and Arrow. I plan to watch The 100 as well, but I want to see how good its ratings are first.
My favorite show is probably GoT, then Bates Motel.
Klaus is easily my favorite character. I love that they made The Originals, because Klaus is the bad*** that he should have been on The Vampire Diaries.
I don't know if this is a group discussion or not, but since three people are contributing, I thought that I'd say some stuff too. Unless I'm unwelcome, I mean it's kind of weird for me to pop up and go, "Oh, hi, I like TV too!" lol (kinda seems like something that Emma might do)
Bates Motel is one of my favourite shows right now, probably my second fav. The first is Doctor Who. And the third is Sherlock....or The Walking Dead.
I've seen a very little bit of Breaking Bad, it seems good but I'm not exactly a fan.
Haha TheLorax, everyone is free to join in our discussion. It's just a friendly get to know each other :D I also watched one episode of Sherlock yesterday and it seems good but I'm unsure if I should continue. I also watched 5 episodes of Doctor Who and it's very entertaining and different so I will continue it during my summer break.
Cool, cool. I'm guessing that you watched the first Sherlock episode. It's a good show, but it's one of those shows where it's just not for everybody.
Do you know what Doctor Who episodes you watched? I like Doctor Who so much, and it's not slightly similar to Bates Motel in any way, but I like them both so very much.
Season 3 of The Walking Dead is terrible, so I'm kind of just watching it occasionly on Netflix. I loved the first two seasons, not crazy about the third but I'm about halfway through. Season 4 seems good, though, so I'm looking forward to when it comes to Netflix.
I watched the Doctor Who (2005) version on Netflix S1 episodes 1-5. It was really weird but I liked it! I love British shows.
What you said about TWD, I agree completely. I loved season one and two but season three was quite boring. Season 4 is better in my opinion. I have the online links if you want to catch season 4 early. I am praying that Daryl and Glenn (my favorites) make it out alive. I have heard spoilers and I'm quite nervous for Glenn. I also have the comic book that I'm too lazy to read atm XD
I just read one issue of the Walking Dead comic, it was really good but nothing like the show at all. And yes, Doctor Who is amazing. If you only saw the first five episodes of NewWho, then you have a lot of greatness to watch in the future.
Yeah, there's only 3 Sherlock episodes per season, and they're film-length. Hour and a half or so. And there's really long breaks between seasons. Season 4 is expected in 2016! I read a joke that the 100th Doctor Who anniversary special (in 49 years) will have a trailer for Sherlock's Season 5 at the end.
I think that the Walking Dead comics are about to kill Rick off, which is scary. I don't want him to go.
Unfortunately, ratings have dropped a bit. Season 1 averaged at ~2.5 million viewers per episode, and while season 2 premeired at 3 million, it dropped to ~2 million the next episode. This is just in the U.S., though.
I hope the ratings go back up to what they were in season 1, at least. I heard that season 1's ratings broke records for A&E, so even if they have gone down, Bates Motel probably won't be cancelled.
I sure hope not. Season 2 is just getting better, so I would hate to see it chopped like Those Who Kill was. I think that maybe Bates Motel is at its very best now (or maybe it's not), so I hope that the ratings don't decrease further. When do you think Bates Motel was at its best?
What did you guys think of TWD last night (or did you not see it yet)? Also, did anyone notice that last night's episode was called "Us" and next week's episode is called "A"? It could just be a coincidence, but they spell "USA" together. A reference, maybe?
Good observation Streckster98! I didn't notice that. It could be a reference.
So far, there hasn't been that many shocking twists this season. This episode featured a lot of talking and was setting the mood.
I loved the Glenn and Maggie reunion but quite frankly, they are too defined for their love for each other. I don't care that much for Abraham (who I like) or Eugene. I can't really take Eugene seriously for some reason. And I hate the gang Daryl is with. I was disappointed by how quick Daryl gave up on finding Beth. I liked them together (ofcource not in a romantic way).
Also when the closeup picture of Maggie was being burned, I thought that was foreshadowing her demise :(( I hope it's just a misdirection because she's one of my favorites!! I was so relieved after the Maggie-Glenn reunion. Seriously, they always bring a smile to my face in a show as dark and full of tragedy such as TWD. I don't know how I would feel if I don't see those two together on my screen. So I'm hoping Maggie and Glenn make it out alive.
And when Carl and Michonne were betting on who can walk on the railway tracks the longest and Carl won, I thought that was foreshadowing Michonne's death. Sorry, I prefer it if Carl is the one to go.
I am agonizing the next character demise and nervously awaiting for the next big crisis to hit.
Terminus had this very eerie feeling. I think the terminus cannibals...I mean people kidnapped Beth and cooked her XD joking! ...or am I?
So what are you guys expecting to happen in the season finale of The Walking Dead?
I think Maggie or Michonne will die, either both of them or one of the two. I also think Eugene will die.
Interesting... It never dawned on me that they might be foreshadowing Michonne's death with the game or Maggie's death with the picture. (I thought it was funny when Rick was acting all serious and strategic, then he looks back and sees Carl and Michonne playing a game, lol.)
As for the finale, I've tried guessing who will die, but I'm not sure. Like you said, last episode was just setting things up. To me, no character seems like they're "ready" to be killed off. However, Eugene will probably die soon, especially because the creators of the show basically said we're never going to learn how the outbreak started.
In almost every TV show, there's the main guy and girl that "should" be a couple, but the writers don't make it happen for 2 or 3 seasons... so they give those two characters new, temporary love interests... thus Gunner and Cody were born xD
Yep. Or in The X-Files, they wait about 8 seasons.
Yeah, Cody is sorta an annoying character. She hasn't been important to the plot yet, but who knows when she will be. She's interesting enough though, and she seems to care about Norman.
Gunner hasn't grown on me yet, though. He's too shady for Emma; she needs a good person, and Gunner seems like the....this sounds weird, but......the nicest scum in White Pine Bay. Yes, I realize that "nicest scum" is an oxymoron and doesn't make too much sense.
Lol, we get what you mean. On paper, Gunner and Emma aren't a good couple, but the "nicest scum" of White Pine Bay really seems to like Emma. However, who knows if Gunner is shadier than we know and lied about him and Emma sleeping together. I thought it was a little suspicious that they were both half-naked in the same bed, but only because they cleaned up together or something? Just a possibility.
Streckster98, that's true and then it becomes a love triangle/square. Man, I hate love triangles because the couples I prefer are always the unpopular ones XD
TheLorax, I'm ehh about Cody, I don't like or dislike her. I'm also neural with Gunner. He's sweet but I don't love him yet. I think he's a good guy though. But yeah, why was she half naked? It wasn't like she threw up on her dress since she was able to wear it in the morning. That's a mystery... But all the male characters are too shady for Emma haha ;D
That's true, they all are (except for her father, Will is the opposite of shady). But I also thought that that was weird about the Emma/Gunner scene. And speaking of Will, I wondered what he thought about Emma being away from home all night. He must've been worried.
And didn't Check-Out have the best quotes? The writer of it included some funny and good ones, like:
Norman: "Why are you hiding from that guy?" Emma: "I'm not. There's a difference between hiding and not wanting to be seen".
Dylan: "It's me. How can I put me behind me?"
George: "Shut up, Peter, you're an idiot".
And the whole Norman vs. Caleb scene had Norman saying some memorable stuff while in Mother mode.
And yes Klelijah, I know what you mean about love triangles. It's always all weird and divides fanbases....
Yeah I hate when the fanbases get divided and I abhor shipwars. If you watch The Vampire Diaries, there are always insane shipwars going on. I don't understand the point in making a big deal over them. Plot/storylines are always>love triangles.
@TheLorax, Yeah, it's a good idea to avoid TVD. I loved it at first but after season 4, the show went downhill and now (season 5) is awful imo. I have tried to quit many times but watching TVD is like a disease I tell you. I can't stop even though I really don't like the show haha I do prefer the spin-off though--The Originals. But yeah, avoid TVD..^^
I think BM doesn't have any shipwars because we are a more mature audience...whereas TVD viewers consist of mostly teenagers and young adults. (@Streckster98, did you watch the paleyfest? omg the audience there really needed a mute button lol)
No, I didn't watch paleyfest. But yes, Remo gave Zane a look.
My favorite line of possibly the entire show was Dylan saying to Norma, "I'm sorry, I'm such a d*** for making this hard on you."
As for TVD, I agree that it's awful now. After season 3A, the show changed its tone, the actors seemed to be acting a little different, and the story was really repetitive. But I see what you mean, Klelijah, about TVD being a disease xD
Haha thanks! I love editing the wikia whenever I have time :) It's also fun to earn badges which I think encourages other users to help edit more pages. So yeah, I hope more people will help contribute by adding valuable information or making necessary corrections ^^
The thing about my username is that when I made it, I was thinking a lot about Dr. Suess and the Lorax. Today, I would never give myself a username inspired by a Dr. Suess character. Never. But oh well, as much as I dislike and really regret this username, I'm going to keep it. But I seriously dislike having this username, lol. It was a huge mistake and it's probably the worst username possible, but....meh. Life goes on.
Yes, I remember one time when a contributer on Scream Wiki suggested to me that I change my username after I told him that I didn't like it. He gave me a link to where I could change it. But then I didn't change it, just because I don't want to complicate things. And you're right, usernames don't matter but I still don't like mine. Speaking of usernames, if you don't mind me asking, what does yours mean, Klelijah? Is it your first name or something?
Yeah they dragged out Markos debut as long as possible. I am sick of Damon and Elena too and their scenes are filler. TVD has too many unnecessary dialogues and very little important information is being said that needs to be said for us to care.
I felt like a newbie too when I got so many new bronze badges.
TheLorax, stop catching up to me so fast XD haha kidding! Good work :)
A scene in the last Arrow episode was hilarious to me: a vigilante and the cops are separately chasing a criminal, the cops start shooting at the criminal, and the vigilante literally runs through the cops' gunfire to go after the criminal....
Haha! Why would he do that? That's the most illogical thing that anyone could do. And isn't Arrow related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (or MCU)? Don't they have some sort of connection, like Arrow being somewhat involved in the MCU - like Agents of Shield is? Or are they seperate fictional universes?
Also, Arrow has an actor who plays a villain, and that actor is named John Barrowman. He played Captain Jack in Doctor Who, and Captain Jack is an awesome character! His Arrow character is named Malcolm Merlyn, apparently. That's a cool name, Malcolm Merlyn. Merrrryyyyylllllnnnn. That's cool. Meryln.
Hmm Arrow is a tough show for me to explain. It's iffy at times and some episodes will be better than others but the writing needs some touching up to do. Most of the cast have wooden acting chops and some of them improved very slightly. Also I don't know if it's just me but I find most of the characters unlikable. I hate Oliver and Sara and I don't care about the other characters except Felicity. I also found the twists to be predictable. A lot of my friends really like Arrow though and I'm the black sheep who criticizes it XD My point is, I don't hate Arrow, I actually enjoy it at times but it's a pretty decent show for me.
Hmm. I don't watch much live TV, but there's a lot of good shows out there. Arrow interested me because of the MCU connections and because it shares an actor with Doctor Who, who happens to play one of the best Doctor Who characters ever. But judging by your reviews, it doesn't sound too good. I'll stick to The Walking Dead and stuff.
I'm really excited for the TWD finale tomorrow. TWD is one of my favorite shows, and I actually just watched the first and second season over the course of this week (my brother got me into TWD when it came back for season 3).
Lost was a great show, I miss it a lot. I remember getting up early every morning after it came on to watch it online (since I didn't have a TV at the time). The ending was slightly disappointing (depending on how you look at it), but it's still an amazing show overall.
Cool. Yeah, isn't it about some people who survive a plane crash, get lost on an island, and the island has secrets? Islands and secrets - sounds like my kind of show. And isn't one of the survivors a dog named Vincent? When I do watch Lost (I might even start today), I'll count Vincent as a reason (I love dogs). Plus, it has Romero as an invincible dude. That's cool. I'm going to watch Lost!
Does Vincent count as a character? If not.....I liked Charlie in the first episode, but when it was explained why he went back to the plane bathroom, I just thought, "Oh, he's kind of a loser". But he's a good character overall. I also like Michael and Walt, and definitely Kate. Maybe Kate's my favourite (human) character.
I haven't seen Season 4 of TWD, but I'm breaking that rule and recording (or maybe watching live) tonight's episode, because it's the Season 4 finale. Maybe Negan will appear, but probably not. Do either of you know who Negan is?
I've already spoiled most of Season 4 for myself, so I know the majority of what I haven't seen yet. Thank you for offering, though.
In the comics, Negan is the leader of this group called the Saviours (he calls them the "New World Order"). Him and his group kind of make deals with other groups, like defense from zombies in exchange for 50% of supplies, crops, and stuff. He first appeared in Issue #100 (haven't read it, this is all research and spoilers) and killed poor Glenn with his barbed-wire baseball bat. He was then at war with Rick's group, which is why in the comics, Rick is injured and is very likely to die in next month's issue.
Negan always swears (or curses if you prefer)....about 90% of his language is foul. But he will be toned down when he's on the show, obviously. He will most likely appear in late Season 5, but nobody has ruled out a cameo in tonight's episode. So I'm just hoping for that......
I hope that I didn't just bore anyone there, or spoil stuff.
Wait, wait, wait....I'm recording it, not watching it live. Are you telling me that Rick Grimes is a cannibal?
EDIT: Guys, I'm flipping through The Walking Dead Wiki, and they're editing it at the speed of light! I've spoiled a lot of the episode for myself just by reading their edits. Wow. Not visiting that wiki again tonight.
Rick bit the throat of a man named Joe, whose gang was attacking Carl, Michonne, and Daryl. It was so insane and hardcore haha like at that moment, you knew sh*t just got real XD
My guess for season 5, the terminus people didn't take Beth I'm sure. They only lure people in and Beth wasn't there so..she's somewhere else.
I think when Rick put the sheriff hat in Beth's head and said there's a new sheriff in town in the flashbacks, it was foreshadowing that the people who kidnapped Beth are good and that Beth and them will help save Rick and the gang.
Also I think the terminus people put them in the train car and will feed them very little to weaken them and then take one out to eat day by day XD
Back to the show, I just realized that Rick is literally becoming the walking dead. In order to survive, he's going to become a living walker by probably eating these people. My guess is. Rick will terminate Terminus.
Lol I don't think he will either, I think the terminus people will attempt to eat some of them though. Hehe it would be crazy if Rick did haha
And I agree, the very ending was not as dramatic as I expected it would be. But I loved this episode nonetheless because it kept me on the edge. It also left us with a lot of unanswered questions like where is Carol, Tyresse and Beth? What do the terminus people want, why did they steal the gang's stuff and lock them in a train cart? Why do they have a pile of skeletons and a room of candles. It's going to be a train wreck for Rick and co. I'm just happy no one died...
^^ The people at Terminus probably locked up Rick's gang because they're cannibals. I don't think all of those Terminus shooters were that bad at aiming, I think Terminus just didn't want to spoil their *cough*meat*cough* by shooting Rick, Carl, etc. Why else would Terminus be accepting so many people from "off the streets" only to lock them up? Not to mention that cook at Terminus was cooking a rather large piece of meat... and her "Can I make you a plate?" line in the semi-finale might have been foreshadowing the cannibals.
^ Yes, Bates Motel looks really good tonight. It should help me take my mind off TWD, lol.
I was just wondering who got that badge, because I got the Lucky 2000th Edit a while ago and I just got the Lucky 3000th Edit this morning (I'm very lucky :D). I thought LM Perfection might have gotten the Lucky 1000th Edit, since we were the only major contributors around that time, but he doesn't have it. Oh, well, lol.
Haven't seen it yet, but I was....unfooled. I did a couple of pranks yesterday, some funny and some that other people found pointless (I found 'em all funny). The majority of my pranks consisted of taping pictures of Nic Cage to stuff to creep people out.
Lol I didn't realize yesterday was April Fool's until it was 11 and my friend pranked me so bad I needed to prank someone but I failed miserably hahaha. I should have done it earlier before when Lorax and you didn't watch it yet and I should have said something more believable ;D
Dylan is the fan favorite it seems, so it would be a bad idea if they ever showed less of him. But man, he was senseless in the scene when (real spoiler alert*) he went in front of that car. Also, I never "shipped" them but after this episode, I now realize how much I love Norma's and Alex's relationship. I'm still not liking the Cody-Norman pair and I don't mind nor love the Emma-Gunner pair that everyone seems to adore. And for some reason, I am not that interested in the drug business even though it involves Dylan. Maybe I'll change my mind after the next episode. For now, I'm more interested in Norman's dark progression.
Sorry. I'm actually really busy this semester so I plan on editing pages around May. Bare with me for a month :) I promise I'll contribute more with summaries but for now, I can only add photos and such.
Btw I plan on adding somewhat blank relationship pages that won't be exactly filled in or in detail until I'm on break. If you guys like, you can edit them too.
They are internet trolls who get a kick from vandalizing :/ I don't understand why they spend their time like that if they aren't going to be at least useful. We just have to be tolerant because if I learned something from wikias, some people are nuts and they love vandalizing/being inappropriate. Luckily we can always undo their silly edits :)
Odds are he/she will come back in a few days and vandalize some pages because he/she was blocked, but then I'll just fix the pages and block him/her for a lot longer. Normally I would just start off with a longer block, but I don't want it to look like the admins of this wiki are unfairly punishing people.
Although maybe I'm not one to talk, since there's half of a season of TWD I haven't seen yet lol. I just saw the season 2 midway finale (Sophia comes out of the barn), which was an amazing episode. I see why people think season 2 is a little slower, but it's not nearly as bad as people say.
Personally I think every season has been slightly worse than the last. I give season 1 and 2 a 10/10, season 3 a 9/10, and season 4 an 8/10. The zombie virus wasn't very interesting to me, the governor kinda came out of nowhere, and the finale was pretty uneventful. Sure, Rick and his gang got captured, but I don't know the new characters enough yet to care xD
What? People thought season 2 was bad? That was my favorite season ahah. Plus, I like season 4 more than season 3. I just wasn't into the governor. Also, season 3 was when I started watching live and I've personally found myself enjoying shows more when I watch without ads ^^
Do you know how well other shows on A&E are doing? Because Bates Motel's series premiere got ~3 million viewers, which was A&E's best series premiere until The Wahlburgers got ~3.5 million viewers (and now gets about ~2 million per episode like Bates Motel). As far as I know, Bates Motel, The Wahlburgers, and Duck Dynasty (which gets ~6 million viewers per episode) are A&E's highest rated shows.
If I'm right, Bates Motel will surely be renewed. A&E would be crazy to cancel one of their highest rated shows. Let's hope they're not ;)
Hmmm... The obvious ending for Bates Motel is Norman going full psycho and shooting Norma and her lover (who has yet to be introduced) in bed. That would be the most fitting ending, but I would rather an ending where the viewers decide if Norman turns psycho, or it's implied he does. Maybe Norman blacks out one last time and kills someone important (sadly, probably Dylan or Emma), and the very last scene is between him and Norma, who asks a question, and Norman just answers, "Yes, mother." This is obviously sketchy, lol, and I'm not sure about the episode title. Maybe "A Boy's Best Friend is His Mother" or "Mother Killed the Girl" (which is a Psycho quote, and would only apply to the finale if Norman kills Emma).
Cool. I wrote an episode script, fanmade obviously, and it was called "Twelve Vacancies". That's also a Psycho quote sorta; Norman (Perkins) told Marion that the motel has "twelve rooms, twelve vacancies".
And didn't the Psycho sequels imply that Norman poisoned Norma and her lover's iced tea?
Those are some very good and interesting ideas! I think we'll get something along the lines. However, I don't think Dylan is going anytime soon, it really depends on how many seasons we will get but since they're exploring the drug business, I think Dylan stays until towards the last season.
Sorry to interrupt the GoT talk, but....Bates Motel is on tonight. Tonight's episode, Plunge, looks really good (by the promo and plot). Maybe Bates Motel has a "curse" where Episode 6s (The Truth and Plunge) are really good. We'll find out tonight.
p.s. I'm currently watching the Lost episode "Numbers", which is why I mentioned a "curse".
^ It's funny you should say that about Bates Motel, because I thought last episode was when this season started to pick up, and the fifth episode of last season was when it started getting really good.
I liked Plunge a lot, but I thought last episode was better. Like Pie said, the ending was just an accident, and it seems like a repeat of the Keith Summers murder storyline (from the looks of the promo, Romero is even getting suspicious again). But who knows, it could turn out better than I'm thinking.
Yeah, Norman and George will probably get into a fight soon.
I wonder how long it'll be until Dylan and Norma make up... Now that Dylan moved out, he and Norma aren't even talking or working things out. At this rate, Dylan might not even move back in by the end of the season.
I liked that scene a lot, actually. Norman has blacked out and gone psycho several times now, but season 2 didn't bring up the Bates' history or anything that actually made Norman a psycho until last episode.
I hope that Norman has another flashback about Sam. It was a cool scene, and it would be an excuse to see the Bates family's life in Arizona, which would be cool. We haven't seen Norman's childhood yet. We should. As you said, that's what made him a psycho.
What do you think about the idea of Dylan's adoptive father, John Massett, appearing in Season 3?
Also, should the wiki have a page called "Bates family" that lists everyone in the family?
Unfortunately, I've been really busy with work recently (and it looks like I'm going to be even busier now), so I won't be able to chat or contribute as much for a while. I'll still be checking in once in a while, but mostly only to fix any vandalizing.
Purple wedding? I didn't know people were calling it that :P
But I hope it's good! I wonder if some evil-demon-thing will try to kill Joffrey. Didn't Stannis and the red witch cast a spell to kill Joffrey last season?
EDIT: A description I found of the Purple Wedding makes me really want to see it: "A horde of guests turn out for Joffrey and Margaery's wedding in King's Landing, but the king's taste in entertainment rubs many of them the wrong way."
Hopefully we're not alienating Lorax with all this GoT talk again :P
I just read a Wikipedia sypnosis about the "purple wedding", and....well, let me just say that I've never seen Game of Thrones. I don't really know what it's about, and I have no emotional investment with the characters whatsoever. I only know about two characters, Joffrey and Tyrion. And yet, from reading those words on Wikipedia...my mind is blown.
Have you two seen the episode yet? Because....WOW.
As I said, I don't intend to watch GoT for a long time, so I probably won't remember the few sentences that I read. It was that Tyrion killed Joffrey, and those two happen to be the only characters who I am familiar with, so it interested me.
It's MotherMonday today....meaning a new Bates Motel episode!
It was a slower episode, but I still liked it a lot. Although, I didn't like the argument between Norma and Norman. They've been arguing over one thing or another since the middle of season 1... frankly, I think it's getting a little old (not a lot, just a little).
What did you think of the ending? The whole Zane/Dylan/Remo confrontation scene was cool (I found it funny that Remo probably said "I'm in" to save his own life). And what was your opinion on the twist ending?
@Lorax, I'm also in season 3 xD I started the show when it came back for season 3B, and I just recently went back to watch the first 2 seasons. I'm currently on season 3, episode 2. So, I have about 5 more episodes until I've seen every one.
I finally got myself to continue Season 3 of TWD. It was my least favourite season, even though everyone always makes Season 2 jokes. I loved Season 2, but to everyone else, that's the "one with the farm and the people shouting 'Sophia!'".
I missed the last two TWD comic books. I hope to read them soon (I've only read #124). So far, Comic Rick is alive, but he probably won't be for long, sadly.
And even though Season 3 was my least favourite, the scene in "Made to Suffer" when Rick's group attacked Woodbury was so cool. Especially the Governor's intimidating cool-ness...
I just caught up with Presumed Innocent. It was a fairly decent episode for me but quite lacking in comparison to the other episodes imo.. Where to begin? I thought a lot of the dialogues in this episode to be somewhat awkwardly phrased. The writing just didn't suit my taste buds for some reason. Anyhoo, I have to confess, my (once) favorite character Dylan is boring me ): He's become so pointless and dull that I zone out during his scenes. I only really love him when he's with Norma and Norman, otherwise it's not the same Dylan to me. I feel like he's lost his depth and personality and has turned into a bland and one dimensional character. I want the writers to end the weed storyline because it's not interesting one bit. I just want that whole storyline dropped altogether. And is Caleb gone for long? I still don't really get his purpose other than to bring in shock value. What are your thoughts on Dylan, the weed storyline, and Caleb?
Oh and is Cody officially gone now? I guess so. I was actually starting to warm up to her but I'm pleased she's gone. I'm sort of wondering what was the point of her character and now I realize she was only there as a plot device for Norman to find out about his black outs. That's why once she served her purpose, she left very conveniently. Now that she's gone, I wish we get more Romero scenes. I'm really loving his character the most at the moment.
And OMG, that ending? I kind of expected it so it wasn't a big shock but still...I don't know what to comment on that haha ;o Well, the next episode looks great. I'm looking forward to it so I hope it doesn't disappoint!
I also hope that the weed storyline wraps up soon. It might, because Zane just started an all-out war between Dylan's business and Ford's business. As for Caleb, he'll probably come back on the finale or semi-finale. Cody, however, probably won't come back on. Like Klelijah said, she was basically a plot device. I wonder how much longer Gunner will stay on for...? I like him and Emma, but I'm still suspicious of him.
Anyway, Romero will definitely be more involved now. And didn't the promo show him and Norma kissing? I wonder if that kiss was real, or if Norma was just doing that to protect Norman (because of Romero's recent discovery...).
For how long do you guys think they can keep Bates Motel going without losing quality (assuming it keeps good ratings)? There's a lot of stuff from the Psycho movies that haven't been brought in the series yet (which probably will be eventually). However, most of the characters in Bates Motel weren't actually in the movies, so the writers would need to come up with more original storylines... like the drug business. I liked the weed storyline at first, but not so much anymore (because half the known characters are involved...). Anyway, I think the show should stay on for 4 or 5 seasons. Bates Motel needs to keep things moving and have as little filler as possible to stay good, but like I said, there's a lot of stuff they have to do yet.
