He was in a relationship with Blair Watson, and spent time with her about 70 hours before her death. He was arrested as a suspect for her murder by Sheriff Alex Romero, who was then left wondering if Kyle was guilty or not. Romero then decided to charge Kyle with the crime, despite Kyle claiming that there wasn't enough evidence. (Shadow of a Doubt)
