Kerry Ehrin is an American writer and producer, best known for her work on the US TV shows Friday Night Lights and Bates Motel.

Early and Personal life

She was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on October 8, 1960. She currently lives in Hidden Hills, California with her husband, Mr. Wrong co-writer Craig Munson and their three children, daughter Shane and twin sons Alex and Nick.

Career

Early work

In 1990, she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series for her work on the television series The Wonder Years (1989–90).

Friday Night Lights (2006 - 2011)

She was nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for Best New Series at the February 2007 ceremony for her work on the first season of Friday Night Lights. She was nominated for the WGA Award for Best Dramatic Series the following year at the February 2008 ceremony for her work on the second season of the series. Ehrin was nominated for Best Dramatic Series a second time at the February 2009 ceremony for her work on the third season, and was nominated for the WGA Award for Best Drama Series for the third consecutive year at the February 2010 ceremony. The series ended its run after five seasons in February 2011.

Parenthood (2011 - 2012)

From 2011 to 2012, Ehrin served as a co-executive producer and writer on the third season of NBC drama series Parenthood.

Bates Motel (2013 - 2017)

Ehrin, alongside Carlton Cuse and Anthony Cipriano, developed the Psycho contemporary prequel series Bates Motel for the American cable network A&E. The series started airing in March 2013 and Ehrin serves as a writer and an executive producer. It concluded its run in April 2017 after five seasons.
