Hi! I'm so exhausted. I didn't think life could get any crazier but the last few days have far surpassed my limited imagination. We actually found Jiao in the flesh, real. I didn't know if Norman believed me at first. I know he had bigger things to deal with, like his mom being thrown in jail for a merger that she didn't do, different story. But I searched online and discovered Keith Summers had a boat. And by the way, no props for being super smart and figuring that out by the way. We went down to the dock to search it. Completely on our lark, just something to do, and Jiao was there. She was drugged, half out of her mind. I didn't know what to do. She hadn't eaten for two days. She didn't even want to go to the cops because one of them was in on it. So we took her to the Motel. She's resting there now. I'm completely fried, anxious and tired. Maybe this investigating thing isn't for me. I've been trying to seem tough but all I can think about is what if this had happened to me. What would I do in this situation. So insane... And that cop is involved. You know it makes me so mad. I understand why Jiao doesn't want to go to the police. But surely, she knows not every cop is bad, right?! Maybe she doesn't. Maybe that's a problem. Who she'd been able to trust since her best friend died in China. Things seem so messed up. I'm dealing with so much stuff now I think the best thing for me to do is sleep and get some rest and gather my thoughts. Like Norma said, we'll deal with the police later.
